A large 5-bedroom cottage in Porthleven, sleeping 10 across four king-size bedrooms and one double. Three of the ground-floor bedrooms have their own en-suite shower rooms - a practical arrangement for a group of ten who want to avoid morning queues. EV charging on the driveway and space for multiple cars means arriving in convoy is straightforward.

The open-plan ground floor centres on a kitchen and dining area with bi-fold doors opening to a south-facing terrace. A wood burner anchors the sitting room. Upstairs, a second lounge with bi-fold balcony doors adds another gathering space - useful when the group needs to spread out. The 7-seater hot tub on the terrace is the main draw outdoors, alongside a BBQ and a covered back garden with seating area. No dishwasher, so factor that in for a group of 10 cooking for themselves.

Porthleven Beach is under half a mile away - a powerful south-west facing break with RNLI lifeguards in summer, and Kota Restaurant on the harbour for one of Cornwall’s better weeknight dinners. The Penrose Estate begins just east of the beach, with 17 miles of National Trust trails through woodland to Loe Bar - the shingle bank separating Cornwall’s largest natural freshwater lake from the sea. St Michael’s Mount at Marazion is about 9 miles east along the coast.

Best for large groups or multi-family holidays wanting a well-equipped base with outdoor space and easy harbour access. Less suited to guests without a car - Porthleven has limited public transport links.
