Trelawns

Trelawns is a six-bedroom house on Tredragon Road in Mawgan Porth, sleeping 10 with 4 bathrooms and one of the shortest walks to the beach of any large house in the village - Mawgan Porth Beach is 200m down the road. Changeover day is Friday. No pets.

The house has 6 bedrooms split across two floors: four on the ground floor, alongside a wet room with a walk-in shower and a shower room, and two king-size rooms upstairs. Four bathrooms reduces the morning bottleneck for a group of 10. The enclosed garden provides outdoor space without sea exposure. Wi-Fi is included throughout, along with a dishwasher, washing machine, and off-road parking for three cars.

Mawgan Porth Beach is a wide, northwest-facing bay that picks up reliable Atlantic surf - several surf schools operate from the sand in summer. The South West Coast Path runs directly through the village, with the walk north to Bedruthan Steps about 1.2 miles along the cliff. Watergate Bay is 1.9 miles to the south, and Newquay is about 7 miles by road. The Scarlet Hotel and Bedruthan Hotel above the bay both have restaurants open to non-residents.

Best for: large family groups or two families who want to be close enough to the beach to walk there easily. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking, as the garden mixes paved surfaces, lawn and steps. Less good for: groups with dogs, or anyone preferring a quieter location away from the village.
