Tresco Bungalow

Tresco Bungalow looks over Porthminster Beach in St Ives, with views across the harbour, and the sand is approximately 100 yards away. St Ives railway station is 200 yards from the bungalow, a pub is 0.2 miles off and shops are 0.4 miles. The lanes leading to it are narrow in places, so it is worth looking at the approach before you set off.

You climb steps from the parking area to reach the living space, which is open plan: kitchen, dining table and a sitting area facing the beach, with French doors to the decking. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, wine cooler and a Tassimo machine (bring your own pods). Three smart TVs, fast WiFi and a Bluetooth sound system are included, plus a utility room with a washer/dryer. Heating is electric, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are part of the rent.

There are two bedrooms, and both have their own en-suite walk-in shower room. One is a super-king-size that opens onto the decking and hot tub, and the second can be arranged as a twin if you ask at least seven days before arrival. A separate cloakroom has a basin and WC. The covered, enclosed decking has outdoor furniture, speakers and the hot tub, which is drained, cleaned and refilled before each arrival and may still be warming up when you get there.

Three allocated off-road spaces come with EV charging, paid for separately through the Pod Point app, which needs downloading before arrival. A highchair and travel cot are available if you bring your own cot bedding, there is a rack for wetsuits at the back, and CCTV covers the outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome and smoking is not allowed. It suits two couples or a small family, and is less good for anyone who finds steps hard going.
