Trestar

Trestar is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cottage at Wentworth Close in Polzeath, sleeping 9 with accessible ground-floor accommodation and an enclosed garden. Dogs are welcome. WiFi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. Changeover is Saturday.

Polzeath Beach is 800 metres from the door - a half-mile sandy Atlantic beach with consistent left and right-hand surf breaks, seasonal lifeguards, and multiple surf hire and lesson operators running from Easter through October. Greenaway Beach, a smaller and less crowded cove popular with rock poolers and kayakers, is 900 metres in the other direction. Daymer Bay is about a mile south, with sheltered estuary water and the dunes around St Enodoc Church behind it.

The village of Polzeath has a surf shop, a deli, and several cafes within walking distance of the cottage. The Oyster Catcher bar and restaurant and the Waterfront grill overlook the beach. Rock is about 2 miles south along the coast road, where a water taxi runs to Padstow across the Camel Estuary in season. Port Isaac is about 6 miles north.

**Best for:** Large families or multi-generational groups wanting to be close to one of north Cornwall's main surf beaches, with dogs welcome and accessible ground-floor rooms.

**Less good for:** Guests wanting a quiet, remote retreat - Polzeath village fills up during school holidays and the beach area can be busy. No hot tub or sea views.
