Trevoda House

Trevoda House is a four-bedroom house in St Ives dating from 1840, sleeping eight across multiple levels. Two king-size rooms, one double and one twin give a family group a flexible layout, and two bathrooms serve the whole house. The first floor has the king-size and twin bedrooms, a bathroom and the children's den, and a second flight of stairs leads to the other king-size, the double and a shower room.

Character features run through the building, and a wood burner and a children's den with seating, games and its own television give the house a family-friendly edge over a plainer let. A dishwasher and washing machine cover the practical side, and up to three dogs can stay. There is no allocated parking, so guests are advised to find space in one of the town's car parks, and a narrow road leads to the property with limited room to open car doors. A private courtyard stores beach equipment and outdoor gear.

Porthminster Beach is barely 0.1 miles from the house, St Ives Harbour Beach is 0.1 miles and Porthmeor Beach 0.3 miles, putting three very different beaches within a few minutes' walk. Tate St Ives, the town's galleries and its harbourside restaurants are all within walking distance too. **Best for:** families wanting four bedrooms, a children's den, room for three dogs and three beaches within half a mile.

**Less good for:** guests needing allocated parking, as there is none, or arriving in a larger vehicle on the narrow road to the house.
