Trevow

Trevow is a three-bedroom house for four guests on the Tin Coast near Pendeen, rated 4 stars. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other two are singles, so each guest gets a defined sleeping space. One bathroom serves the whole group, worth noting for a full house of four.

Period character runs through the house alongside a wood burner and modern conveniences: WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and a washing machine are all included, and the garden looks out over the village. One dog is welcome.

Pendeen sits between St Just and St Ives on the Penwith coast, built around the tin and copper mining that shaped the area. The Geevor Tin Mine museum and the restored Levant Mine engine house are both a short drive away, part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site, and the Tin Coast section of the South West Coast Path runs straight through the village. Priests Cove is 2.4 miles away, Gwynver Beach is 4.3 miles and Sennen Cove is 5.5 miles.

Two reviews average 4.8 out of 5, too small a sample to draw firm conclusions from, though the score itself is a strong signal.

**Best for:** a small family or friends wanting separate bedrooms, mining heritage on the doorstep, a wood burner and space for one dog.

**Less good for:** guests wanting more than one bathroom, sea views, a barbecue or step-free access.
