Renovated in Autumn 2023, it retains original wood floors and period proportions while updating the kitchen and bathroom finishes. The lounge centres on a bay window with town views, and a private south-facing terrace has plum and fig trees alongside bench seating and a BBQ - a rarity for a St Ives property at this price point.

Bedroom configuration: one double and one twin on the upper floor, plus a sofa bed in the lounge for a fifth guest. There is one bathroom shared between both bedrooms. The terrace access is gated with surrounding foliage for privacy, which makes it more usable than an exposed balcony.

The proximity to three beaches in different directions is a practical advantage. St Ives Harbour Beach is 0.3km on foot. Porthmeor - the surfer's beach - is 0.4km north. Porthminster with its cafe and calm water is 0.4km south. Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden are within five minutes' walk. The town centre restaurants and galleries are immediately accessible, which removes the need for a car on most days.

Ideal for couples or small families who want to be inside the cultural centre of St Ives rather than on the fringes. The lack of parking is a real constraint if driving - public parking at Trenwith can be a 10-minute walk. Not great for those who rely on a car, or for groups of more than 4 who need defined bedroom space for everyone.
