Four-bedroom holiday cottage in Mevagissey on Cornwall's south coast, sleeping 6 across a super-king-size zip-and-link (configurable as twins on request), a double, and 2 singles, one with a trundle bed. The position is elevated above the village, with views down over the rooftops to the harbour and the sea beyond.

Inside there's a sunroom, a single bathroom serving the four bedrooms, plus dishwasher, washing machine and wifi. Outside, a private enclosed garden with seating, and parking for three cars - useful in Mevagissey, where village streets narrow quickly and most public parking sits at the top of the hill. One dog is welcome.

Mevagissey is a working fishing village rather than a polished tourist harbour: the inner port still lands crab and shellfish daily, and the Mevagissey Aquarium and Heritage Centre sit by the harbour wall. The Lost Gardens of Heligan lie around 2 miles inland and pair well with a half-day at Pentewan Beach, the long sandy stretch 1.4 miles from the cottage. Gorran Haven Beach, a smaller family cove with rock pools, is 2.1 miles south, and the unmanned Hemmick Beach lies 3.0 miles along the coast path beyond Dodman Point.

Best for families or two couples after a quieter south-coast base with parking and outdoor space, who want sea views without paying the harbour-front premium. Less good for guests who need step-free access (it's elevated with internal stairs) or who want a sea-view bedroom rather than a terrace view.
