Waters Edge

Waters Edge is a two-bedroom apartment in St Ives for four guests, with two bathrooms and off-road parking, useful in a town where street parking is scarce. Two bathrooms mean a family or two couples sharing don't have to queue for one.

Wi-Fi is included, and the open-plan kitchen has an electric oven and grill, a four-ring ceramic hob, a microwave, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Dogs aren't accepted, and anyone needing step-free access should check with the owners before booking. Changeover falls on a Friday. Sleeping four in two bedrooms, it suits a family or two couples, with parking, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer included.

Porthminster Beach is 300 metres away and lifeguarded in peak season, with a beach cafe for lunch. St Ives Harbour Beach is 500 metres from the apartment, and Porthmeor Beach, overlooked by the Tate St Ives gallery, is 800 metres. All three are walkable without moving the car, and the wider town adds restaurants, galleries and the artists' quarter that has drawn painters to the Atlantic light here since the 1880s.

**Best for:** couples, friends or a family of four wanting two bathrooms and parking within walking distance of three St Ives beaches. **Less good for:** dog owners, or guests needing step-free access.
