Waves End

Waves End is a four-bedroom townhouse dating from the 1870s in St Ives, with sea views and shops, pubs and several beaches about 250m away. It sleeps eight: a super-king-size, a king-size with an en-suite shower, a king-size zip-and-link that can be set as twin beds on request, and a twin. Three of the four bedrooms have a TV. The bathrooms are the en-suite, a first-floor bathroom with a bath and shower over it and a double basin, and a ground-floor shower room, with a first-floor cloakroom as well.

The ground floor has an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area that shows off the sea views, plus a separate sitting room and a utility with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen has a Neff double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, wine cooler and Nespresso machine, and the house has five TVs, DAB radio and WiFi. There is gas central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and house towels are included. A travel cot, high chair, baby bath and fixed stair gate are provided.

Behind the house, a split-level terrace has a hot tub and dining furniture, with an enclosed walled garden and a lower courtyard that is also furnished. There is a wetsuit drying rail. Parking is private and off-road for two cars, one in the garage and one nearby.

There are two steps from the sitting room to the utility, and steps between the parking, garden and house. Pets are not accepted and smoking is not allowed. At peak times, including Easter, summer and Christmas, short breaks are not taken. The house suits two families or friends who want a hot tub and space; it is less good for anyone who wants to avoid steps between car and door.
