Woodland Retreat

Contemporary cottage set within 15 acres of terraced woodland above the Camel Valley, close to Wadebridge. Sleeps two in a single double bedroom with one bathroom; triangular windows above the bed frame the valley outside. A wood-burning stove heats the living room, and a shared indoor heated swimming pool sits a short path from the front door.

The landscaped garden has two patio areas with country views, and a sauna is available on-site. WiFi, parking, an EV charging point, a dishwasher, washing machine and barbecue are all included. Shops are around 4 miles away and the nearest pub 2 miles - a rural base rather than a walk-to-the-pub cottage.

The Camel Trail passes about 200 metres from the cottage, with a bike store close by for guests riding toward Padstow or Bodmin. Padstow itself, home to Rick Stein's restaurant, is within reach, along with Port Isaac and Tintagel. Bodmin Moor borders the valley to the south, and the closest beach, Port Gaverne, is 7.2 miles away.

Best for a couple wanting a quiet, self-contained base with a pool and no through traffic. Less good for anyone wanting shops or a pub within walking distance, or for groups, since the cottage sleeps two.
