Castle Beach - a sheltered cove below the walls of Pendennis Castle - is around 700 metres from the front door. Gyllyngvase, Falmouth's main swimming beach with lifeguards in season and a cafe perched above the sand, is roughly 1km further along the path. Swanpool and Maenporth beaches are accessible further south on the same route.

The studio includes wifi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is no parking on-site, but Falmouth's town centre - with the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, the working harbour, independent restaurants and the events quay that hosts tall ships races in summer - is within easy walking distance of Quay Street.
