You don’t need to book into The Seafood Restaurant to sample Rick Stein’s seafood. There is also a cafe on Middle Street in Padstow, close to the harbour, where you can bring your four-legged friends and eat fish among other things, handy for lunch after a morning exploring Padstow. Dogs are allowed in the courtyard only, which has three partly covered tables, so if the weather is wet and cold, wrap up and ask for a courtyard table when you book. The Michelin Guide lists the cafe with a Bib Gourmand, its mark for good-value cooking. The Cafe serves lunch and dinner, and a three-course menu is available from the main menu (check the Rick Stein website for current days and prices). Padstow is a draw for food lovers, and this is a relaxed way to sample some Cornish seafood with your dog beside you.
