1 Lake View

A spa area is the reason to pick 1 Lake View: a room with a jacuzzi spa bath, a sauna and a TV, inside a one-bedroom lodge at Lanreath. The lodge sleeps two, with a king-size bed in the bedroom and a separate bathroom holding a bath with a shower over. Everything is on the ground floor.

Kitchen, dining area and sitting area share an open-plan room, where the sofa is an electronically operated recliner facing a big-screen TV. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel and power are included. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and there is WiFi. Bed linen, towels, two bathrobes and toiletries are provided, and a travel cot (no mattress) and highchair can be hired.

Patio doors lead to the decked terrace at the back, which is enclosed and gated and has furniture. The Old Mill Bar & Restaurant is a short stroll away, the pub is 0.1 miles off and the nearest shop is 2.8 miles. Barbecues may not be brought to the site, and electric vehicle charging is not permitted.

Access has a few quirks: the parking bay slopes, with level parking opposite, and there is a gentle slope down to the lodge and one step up. Off-road parking is available. No pets are allowed, and the lodge is no smoking. It suits a couple staying for a break, and is less good for anyone who finds a slope or a step difficult. Check-in is 4pm, check-out 10am and Sunday arrivals are not permitted.
