Single-storey lodge with rooftop terrace, sauna and two dogs welcome
1 Southern Place is a single-storey lodge with a rooftop terrace, set in Dobwalls. It sleeps two, in a super-king-size bedroom, with a shower room that has a walk-in shower, basin and WC.
The spa area holds a Jacuzzi spa bath, a sauna and a TV, and the cinema room is separate. Living space is open plan, with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Heating is by gas central heating, and there is a Bluetooth music system, a TV with Freeview and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and they must be kept on a lead at all times on site. A private decked terrace has patio furniture. Steps lead up to the property. Off-road parking is for one car, and an EV charging point can be used at an extra cost. A travel cot (no mattress) and highchair can be hired for younger guests.
Shop and pub are 0.5 miles away. Children need to be supervised at all times because of the lake on site. Barbecues cannot be brought to the site and smoking is not allowed. Check-in is 4pm, check-out 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. This suits couples travelling with dogs who want a spa bath and film room to themselves; it is less good for anyone who cannot manage steps at the door.
