King-size lodge for two with Jacuzzi bath and hot tub
A Jacuzzi bath and a hot tub on private decking are the main features of 11 Meadow Retreat, a single-storey lodge for two in Dobwalls. It sits near Bodmin Moor, and Looe, Polperro and Fowey are on the South Cornish coast.
The king-size bedroom has a dressing area and a TV. The bathroom combines the Jacuzzi bath with a walk-in shower and basin, and a separate cloakroom has a basin and WC. Open-plan living covers the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with a Freeview TV and gas central heating. Wi-Fi is included.
The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power come with the rent. A travel cot (no mattress) and a highchair can be hired. Parking is off-road for one car, and an electric vehicle charging point is available at an extra cost.
There are steep external steps to the lodge, which matters for anyone with limited mobility or small children. A lake is on the site, so children should be supervised at all times. Barbecues cannot be brought on site, Sunday arrivals are not permitted, and the lodge is no smoking. Pets are not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am; a shop and pub are 0.5 miles away.
It is best for a couple wanting a quiet break with a soak, and less good for anyone who finds steep steps difficult.
