12 Meadow Retreat puts a sauna, a Jacuzzi spa bath and a cinema room under one roof. The single-storey lodge sleeps two, on the Southern Halt resort in Dobwalls, with Bodmin Moor close by and Looe, Polperro and Fowey along the South Cornish coast.
The one bedroom has a king-size bed. A shower room offers a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, and a separate spa area holds the Jacuzzi spa bath, the sauna and a TV. Open-plan living combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and there are two TVs. Heating is electric and central, and there is a Bluetooth music system and Wi-Fi.
The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and wine cooler. A private decked terrace has seating. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a travel cot (no mattress) and highchair can be hired. Parking is off-road for one car, and an electric vehicle charging point is available.
Steps lead up to the property, and a lake is on site, so children must be supervised at all times. Barbecues cannot be brought onto the site, Sunday arrivals are not permitted, and the lodge is no smoking. Pets are not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am. The shop and pub are 0.5 miles away.
It suits couples who want a spa-style stay with a film at night, and it is less good for anyone who cannot manage steps.
