11 Horizon View

Guests arriving in an electric car can plug in at 11 Horizon View, which has its own EV charging point at an extra cost. The single-storey lodge stands on a holiday park on the outskirts of Dobwalls and sleeps four. Outside, there is a lawn and decking with furniture and a hot tub, looking over the countryside.

The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the twin bedroom has a TV. The bathroom, with a bath and a shower over it, serves the twin room. Living space is open plan, with the kitchen, dining area and sitting area in one room. Cooking is on an electric oven and hob, and the kitchen also has a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Heating is gas central heating. Bed linen, towels, electricity and gas are included, and there is WiFi and Freeview TV.

Steps lead up to the property. There is off-road parking for 2 cars. A lake on the park means children must be supervised at all times, and barbecues cannot be brought to the site. The shop is 0.3 miles away and the pub 0.4 miles. A travel cot (no mattress) and highchair can be hired. Pets are not allowed, and the lodge is non-smoking.

Check-in is from 4pm, check-out by 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. It suits two couples or a small family, particularly anyone driving an electric car, and is less good for anyone with a dog or who finds steps difficult.
