5 Faraway Fields

A spa area with a Jacuzzi bath and a sauna is the centrepiece of 5 Faraway Fields, a single-storey lodge in Dobwalls. It sleeps two in one super-king-size bedroom, and the shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

The open-plan living space holds the kitchen, dining table and sitting area, and a separate cinema room gives a second place to settle in. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Electric central heating, a Bluetooth music system, a TV with Freeview and WiFi are all in place, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Outside there is a private decked terrace with furniture. There are steps to access the property, and parking is off-road for one car; an EV charging point is available at an extra cost. A travel cot (no mattress) and a highchair can be hired. Barbecues cannot be brought onto the site, and because there is a lake on site, children need to be supervised at all times.

The lodge sits on a holiday park. A shop is 0.3 miles away and a pub 0.4 miles. Check-in is 4pm and check-out 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. Pets and smoking are not allowed. It suits a couple who want a quiet stay built around the spa and cinema; it is less good for anyone travelling with a dog or a small child, given the steps and the lake.
