5 Meadow Retreat

Overlooking the on-site lake, 5 Meadow Retreat is a single-storey cedar lodge on a secluded holiday park at Dobwalls. It sleeps six in three bedrooms. A wrap-around terrace holds outdoor furniture and a sunken hot tub, and the decking looks across the water.

The living space is open plan, with a kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area in one room. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Two TVs with Freeview and WiFi are provided, and the rent includes electricity, heating, bed linen and towels. The double bedroom has a TV and an en-suite shower room, while the two twin rooms share the family bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over it.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, though they must be on a lead at all times anywhere on the park. There is off-road parking for 2 cars and extra parking on site. Charging an electric vehicle is not permitted. There are steps to the exterior of the lodge, and because of the lake children must be supervised at all times. Barbecues cannot be brought to the site. The shop and pub are both 0.5 miles away. A travel cot (no mattress) and a highchair can be hired.

Arrivals are from 4pm, departures by 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. Smoking is not allowed. The lodge suits families or groups of six, including those with a pair of dogs, and is less good for anyone who finds steps difficult.
