5 Southern Place

A hot tub on the enclosed rear decking is the centrepiece of 5 Southern Place, a single-storey lodge on a holiday park at Dobwalls. It sleeps a maximum of six. Liskeard is 2.6 miles away and Looe 8.4 miles, and the shop is 0.5 miles off with the pub at 0.6 miles.

The open-plan living space has a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with a woodburning stove and an L-shaped sofa. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and coffee maker, and there is a TV with Freeview and WiFi. All three bedrooms have TVs: a super-king with an en-suite walk-in shower, a king-size double and a twin. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Gas central heating, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, with two bathrobes. A travel cot without a mattress and a highchair can be hired.

Parking is off-road for two cars, and two vehicles is the maximum per stay; registrations go to the local office. An EV charging point is available at an extra cost. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out at 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. There is a lake on site, so children need supervision at all times. Barbecues cannot be brought to the site. The lodge is all one level inside, but there are steps up to reach it.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. The lodge suits six adults or a family who want a hot tub and a wood-burning stove, and is less good for anyone travelling with a dog or anyone who finds steps difficult.
