9 Horizon View

A sunken hot tub on private decking is what sets 9 Horizon View apart. It is a single-storey lodge on a holiday park in Dobwalls, with Liskeard 2.6 miles away, and it sleeps six. French doors lead from the living area onto the decking, where a lawn and outdoor furniture sit alongside the tub, with open pasture beyond.

The double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with a heated towel rail. One of the two twin rooms has a TV, and its zip-and-link beds can be made up as a double on request. A separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The open-plan living space combines a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and freezer. WiFi, Freeview TV and a DVD player are included, as are bed linen, towels, electricity and heating.

One well-behaved dog is welcome and must be kept on a lead on the park. The decking is not dog-safe, so a dog needs to be accompanied there at all times. There is off-road parking for two cars, with more parking nearby if needed, but charging an electric vehicle is not permitted. A lake on the park means children must be supervised at all times, and barbecues cannot be brought to the site. The shop is 0.3 miles away and the pub 0.4 miles. A travel cot (no mattress) and highchair can be hired.

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am, with no Sunday arrivals and no smoking. Stays in the school summer holidays run for a minimum of 7 nights. It suits a group of six who want a hot tub and room to spread out, and is less good for anyone travelling with two dogs, since only one is allowed.
