6 Meadow Retreat

A hot tub on enclosed decking is the main outdoor feature at 6 Meadow Retreat, a single-storey lodge on a lakeside holiday site near Dobwalls. It sleeps four in a double bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower and a twin, and a separate bathroom has a bath. The open-plan living space has vaulted ceilings, a breakfast bar and dining for four, with an electric fire for cooler evenings.

The kitchen has an oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle and a toaster. There is a television, WiFi, and fuel and power are included in the rent, as are bed linen and towels. A highchair and a travel cot (no mattress) can be hired. Parking is off-road for two cars, and an EV charger is available at an extra cost.

The site has lakes and open water, so children must be accompanied at all times, and the balcony decking is a further reason. Steps lead up to the property. Barbecues are not to be brought onto the site, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. Check-in is 4pm and check-out 10am. Shop and pub are 0.6 miles away. Bodmin Moor and the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro lie nearby.

No pets are allowed, and there is no smoking. The lodge suits a couple or two friends looking for a quiet break with a hot tub, and is less good for families who want children to roam freely.
