6 Ocean Heights is a three-storey townhouse in Newquay sleeping six across three bedrooms, with Tolcarne Beach a 100-metre walk down Ulalia Road. Two bathrooms serve the three floors, and the upper bedrooms face seaward across the rooftops of the bay.

The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher and the living area opens to a rear garden with an enclosed lawn - useful when travelling with dogs. Two dogs are welcome. Off-road parking for one car is included, along with WiFi throughout. From £1,079 per week.

Tolcarne Beach is the closest, a south-facing sandy cove that lifeguards patrol from May to September. Great Western Beach is 400 metres further along the cliff path. Newquay's town centre - harbour, restaurants, and the Friday night fish market at the quay - is a flat 15-minute walk west. Fistral Beach, Cornwall's most consistent surf break, is about a mile beyond the headland.
