An Chy Gwyn

An Chy Gwyn is a first-floor, three-bedroom apartment set in the far west of Cornwall near Porthcurno, sleeping six across a super-king, king, and twin bedroom. The property is 700 metres from Porthcurno beach - a wedge of white-shell sand framed by granite cliffs, with RNLI lifeguard cover in summer and exceptionally clear water for snorkelling. Two bathrooms serve the group.

Inside, a wood burner and an open fire give the apartment warmth through shoulder-season breaks. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine, and WiFi is included. Two dogs are welcome on the property. A private terraced garden with a BBQ provides outdoor dining space and views across the surrounding countryside.

The Minack Theatre sits on the clifftop above Porthcurno - an open-air amphitheatre carved into the rock face, running performances through summer with the Atlantic as a backdrop. Porthchapel beach, a quieter cove, is about 0.75 miles away, and Pedn Vounder - a more remote beach reachable by cliff path - is roughly 0.8 miles. Sennen Cove and its surf beach are a short drive north-west, and Land's End is within easy reach along the coast road.

Best for: couples or small families who want a far west Cornwall base for coast path walking, Minack Theatre visits, and dog-friendly beaches. Less good for: those needing ground-floor access or a centrally located town base.
