The double bedroom is upstairs with an en-suite bath, shower and basin, and the sloped ceiling can limit head height in the shower. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge/freezer. Parking is for one car on the front drive, which is the only outside space. The property takes one small dog and accepts babes-in-arms only, no older children.

Praa Sands is 3 miles south - roughly a mile of west-facing sand with consistent surf and an easy beach car park. Rinsey Cove, a quieter National Trust cove with engine house ruins above the cliffs, is 3.7 miles. Prussia Cove, known for its smuggling history and protected anchorage, is the same distance in the other direction. Porthcew (Rinsey Cove) is the nearest beach, about 3.7 miles away as the crow flies.

Porthleven, 3.7 miles south-west, has a working harbour with several restaurants and a surf break at the harbour entrance. Helston, 3.1 miles east, is the main market town for this part of west Cornwall - it has supermarkets, a cinema, and a Lidl, and the Flora Dance takes place there each May. The Godolphin Estate, a National Trust manor house, is within the parish.

Good for a couple or pair of friends who want a low-cost rural base in west Cornwall for day trips to beaches and towns.
