Trevoole Barn

Trevoole Barn is a stone barn conversion in the Trevoole farming hamlet near Praze-an-Beeble, sleeping three across two bedrooms. Eight large stone steps lead up to the front door on the first floor, where the open-plan living area sits, with both bedrooms and the bathroom on the ground floor, so it does not suit guests who need step-free access.

Inside, a wood-burning stove and dishwasher come as standard, and the layout is compact but functional for a couple or small family. One well-behaved small to medium dog is welcome, but no children are permitted. Parking is on site and the changeover day is Friday, which avoids the Saturday bottleneck on the A30.

The location sits inland - Gwithian Towans is about 5 miles north, and Porthleven is around 8 miles south through the former mining landscapes around Camborne. Porthleven's harbour has a cluster of restaurants including Kota, and Praa Sands - a wide west-facing beach with parking - is a similar distance. Godrevy Beach is about 5 miles away and Portreath Beach 5.2 miles. Praze-an-Beeble village has a pub and a post office. Camborne, 2.5 miles north, has a mainline rail station with services to Penzance and Truro.

Best for couples or dog owners who want a quiet West Cornwall base within reach of both coasts. Less well suited to those wanting to walk to a beach - every beach here requires a drive.
