Burwyn

Burwyn is a ground-floor cottage in Polzeath sleeping six across three bedrooms, with all rooms on a single level and no internal stairs. The bungalow meets accessible needs that most Cornish holiday lets can't - parking is on site and the garden runs directly off the living space without steps.

Inside, the three bedrooms share one bathroom, and the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is included throughout. The layout works well for groups that include someone with limited mobility, or families managing young children who don't want to contend with stairs.

Polzeath beach is 800 metres from the front door - a wide, sandy bay with reliable Atlantic surf and RNLI cover from May to September. Greenaway Beach, a quieter cove with less footfall, is 1.1km north. Rock village and the Camel Estuary passenger ferry to Padstow are within a 10-minute drive, adding easy access to restaurants and the Camel Trail, a traffic-free cycle path that runs 18 miles to Bodmin.

Best for: groups with accessibility requirements, families with young children who want flat, easy beach access. Less good for: those wanting a remote rural retreat - Polzeath is a surf village with a busy summer scene and limited parking on the approach roads in peak weeks.
