A four-bedroom hillside house in Pentewan sleeping 7, spread across three floors with valley and beach views from the main living room. The open fire in the living room and a garden pavilion with a wood-fired oven make this house particularly well set up for shoulder-season breaks.

Bedrooms run to 2 super-king-size (convertible to singles), 1 twin, and 1 single. Three bathrooms serve the house. There is also a separate BBQ terrace alongside the pavilion. Up to 4 dogs are welcome and parking is on site. The house sits on the hillside - some internal stairs to navigate, and the walk down to the beach involves steps, which rules it out for guests with limited mobility.

Pentewan Beach is roughly 0.25 miles away via the coast path from the garden - an RNLI-lifeguarded sandy beach of almost a mile in length, with kayak and paddleboard hire in summer. The Pentewan Valley Trail, a flat traffic-free cycling route from St Austell to the coast, reaches the beach car park. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 2 miles south along the B3273, and the Eden Project is about 6.5 miles inland. Mevagissey harbour village with its fish restaurants and working fleet is 3 miles south.

Best for families or groups who want beach access on foot, outdoor cooking space, and a base for the gardens and Eden Project. Less suited to guests who want a level property or are looking for a lively village on the doorstep.
