Fantasea

Fantasea is a two-bedroom apartment in Maenporth, a sheltered south-facing cove about 2 miles south of Falmouth. The apartment has sea views over the bay and sits a short walk from the sandy beach, with parking on site and space for well-behaved dogs.

Inside there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an open-plan living and kitchen space, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The ground-floor layout is accessible, and there is an EV charging point on site. The apartment sleeps two and takes a Friday changeover.

Outside, the shared garden catches afternoon sun thanks to the south-facing aspect. Maenporth beach, with its beach cafe and seasonal kayak hire, is reached on foot in a few minutes. The South West Coast Path runs from the beach north to Swanpool and on into Falmouth, or south through woodland above the cliffs towards Trebah Garden's beach and Helford Passage.

Maenporth is one of the quieter beaches around Falmouth, with clean water and a gentle slope into the sea that suits swimmers and families. Falmouth town - with the National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle and the main restaurants - is about 15 minutes away by car or bus. Explore Falmouth for galleries, the Events Square waterfront and the Chain Ferry to Flushing.

Best for couples or solo travellers who want a low-key beach base with sea views and good coast path access. Less good for groups of more than two, or anyone expecting a central town location.
