Port Gaverne Beach - a sheltered cove protected from the prevailing westerly swell - is 700m away. Nathan Outlaw's Fish Kitchen sits on the harbour and gets busy in season; the Slipway Hotel and the Golden Lion are reliable alternatives. The South West Coast Path runs north from the village toward Tintagel and south toward Polzeath, with Polzeath Beach 6.3km by road. Tregardock Beach, a remote surf break only accessible on foot, is 5.6km north.

Best for groups of 6 to 8 wanting easy access to one of north Cornwall's most visited fishing villages, with good restaurants on the doorstep and coast path walks in both directions. The harbour, the fish shop, and the South West Coast Path are all reachable on foot. Less good for guests who need a hot tub, open fire, or a wide-open rural setting - Port Isaac is a compact village and the lanes are narrow.
