Duloe village has a Neolithic stone circle on its southern outskirts - eight quartz boulders, unusually small for a Cornish circle, dating to around 2000 BC. The Looe Valley railway runs from Liskeard station through the woods to Looe, with stations at several small halts along the 14-mile branch line. This makes the Looe coast reachable without a car for a day out.

The farm setting means the cottage is surrounded by fields and farm buildings rather than a village street. St Keyne is the nearest parish, with a pub a short drive away. The Dobwalls Adventure Park is roughly 1.9 miles northwest, which adds some appeal for families with children.

Best for couples who want a rural base with working farm character and good access to the Looe Valley. Ideal for walkers and cyclists using the valley's quiet lanes. Less good for those who want to walk to a beach or village without a car. Friday changeover.
