Beyond the village, the coast path climbs out of Port Isaac in both directions towards Port Quin to the west and Port Gaverne to the east. Polzeath's broad beach sits about 6 miles south, with Tintagel and Boscastle reachable north along the coast road. Parking in the village is limited, with the main car park at the top of the hill a steep walk down.

Best for couples or friends wanting an atmospheric harbour address - the character of the building and the working harbour below make this one of the more distinctive village positions on the north Cornwall coast. Less good for guests who rely on wifi or those with limited mobility; the 15th-century layout and steep village streets are not easy terrain.
