Manorcombe 21

Manorcombe 21 is an all-ground-floor, three-bedroom cottage for six within Honicombe Holiday Park at St Ann's Chapel, near Gunnislake in the Tamar Valley. The ground-floor layout reduces internal stairs, though the six guests share a single bathroom.

A shared heated pool and an on-site pub serve the park. Wi-Fi, parking, a garden and a washing machine are included, and dogs are welcome. There is no dishwasher, wood burner or step-free access, and changeover day is Saturday.

This is an inland holiday-park base rather than a walk-to-beach cottage: Whitsand Bay is 11.8 miles away, Downderry Beach 11.9 miles and Kingsand Beach 12.4 miles. Gunnislake sits on the Cornish side of the Tamar, with the 1520 New Bridge carrying the road in from Devon and the Tamar Valley Line running through the village to Plymouth. Morwellham Quay, an open-air heritage museum on the Devon side of the river, is about 3 miles east across the bridge, and the surrounding hillsides still carry engine houses from the valley's 19th-century mining boom. Callington is 3 miles southwest for wider shops and services.

**Best for:** a family wanting a dog-friendly, all-ground-floor cottage with pool access and on-site facilities. **Less good for:** two couples wanting separate bathrooms, visitors seeking a coastal doorstep, or guests requiring EV charging.
