The Heartlands heritage centre at Pool is a 10-minute drive - a free attraction on a former mine site with gardens and interactive exhibits about Cornish mining. Carn Brea, the rocky hillfort above Camborne, gives panoramic views across both coasts on clear days. Camborne's rail station connects directly to Penzance and London Paddington.
