Pippons Meadow

Pippons Meadow is a 2-bedroom cottage in the hamlet of Penponds, just outside Camborne in mid-Cornwall, sleeping 4 guests in a king-size and a twin bedroom. The setting is rural - farmland surrounds the property - while the Heartlands heritage centre at Pool and Camborne's mainline rail station are both within a short drive.

Inside, the sitting room has both a wood burner and an open fire - a combination that makes it a good choice outside summer. The bathroom has a freestanding roll-top bath and a rainfall shower. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, and a washing machine is also included. Wi-Fi is available on site, alongside off-road parking.

The enclosed garden has a raised deck and a gas BBQ. Gwithian Towans - a dune-backed surf beach with lifeguard cover and a cafe - is about 3.9 miles west, part of the wide sweep of St Ives Bay. Portreath is a similar distance north, and Godrevy's dog-friendly sands are about 4.2 miles away.

**Best for:** Couples or small families who want a rural base with good infrastructure - Wi-Fi, parking, wood burner - and don't need to be on the beach's doorstep. Dogs welcome year-round. **Less good for:** Guests who want a coastal view, hot tub, or walking distance to a town centre.
