Perranporth Beach, a 2.5km Atlantic stretch with lifeguards and a surf school, is 10.8km northwest - the closest practical coast option. Great Western Beach and Tolcarne Beach at Newquay are around 12km, and Truro is under 10km south for shopping, restaurants, and the mainline rail connection. Perranporth Beach tends to get busy in July and August, and the hot tub at Moonshine works well for evenings after a day at the beach.

St Erme village is a quiet settlement with no pub or shop within easy walking distance. Summercourt, a mile east on the A30 corridor, has a local pub. The A30 access makes day trips to the far west - Penzance, St Ives, the Lizard - manageable in under an hour.

Ideal for a couple with a dog who want a rural retreat with real features - hot tub, fire, EV charging - rather than a basic rental. Not great for guests who want to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, or a beach.
