The apartment is the practical choice for Port Isaac - allocated parking at the rear is rare in a village where the roads are genuinely narrow, and the views toward Tintagel from the patio garden make the outdoor space worth using.

The two bedrooms include a double with en-suite and a zip-and-link twin that can be made up as a king-size on request. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. French doors from the lounge open directly onto the garden patio, and a beach-hut style store handles surfboards and outdoor kit. Up to 2 dogs are welcome.

Port Gaverne Beach is 300 metres away - a sheltered cove with calm water for swimming and rock pools at low tide, dog-friendly year-round. Port Isaac harbour, the filming location for Doc Martin, is about 500 metres in the other direction. Nathan Outlaw’s Michelin-starred restaurant is in the village, and the South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs in both directions from the harbour.

Best for couples or two friends wanting a comfortable base with sea views, easy beach access, and the option of eating well in the village. Less suited to families with very young children - Port Isaac’s steep lanes and lack of flat ground are worth considering.
