Palm Lodge

Palm Lodge is a single-storey one-bedroom lodge sleeping two, set on Pengersick Lane near Praa Sands. The whole lodge is on one floor and is reached via the garden. It has one en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a garden patio with sun-loungers.

The lodge includes wifi and off-road parking. A cot is available, and a pub or shop is within a mile. Parking is off road, and the lodge is in a seaside location. Friday changeover is straightforward for a two-person booking. The garden patio sits outside the lodge's own front door, which gives it a self-contained feel rather than shared grounds.

Praa Sands Beach is 600 metres - a mile of west-facing sand backed by low dunes, with a beach cafe open in season and reliable surf when the Atlantic swell runs. The coast path from Praa Sands also leads towards Prussia Cove and Porthleven. Prussia Cove is 1.6 miles along the coast path, a series of rock inlets with a reputation tied to 18th-century smuggling. Porthleven, a working harbour village with several restaurants on the waterfront, is about 3 miles east.

Best for couples wanting a quiet, compact base to walk the south Cornwall coast without paying for space they won't use.
