Porthpean Beach is 1.4 miles - a small sheltered sandy cove south of St Austell with a sailing club and seasonal cafe. Charlestown harbour is 1.6 miles, a Georgian working harbour used as a filming location for numerous period productions. The quayside has a couple of restaurants and a shipwreck museum.

Carlyon Bay is 2 miles, a longer sandy beach with more parking. The Eden Project is roughly 5 miles north into the clay country, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about 7.5 miles south.

Inside you get Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine. Two bathrooms for 7 guests is tight on a busy morning - worth factoring in with a larger family.
