Greenaway Beach is 900m and Daymer Bay 1.2km along the coast, the latter sheltered behind the Camel Estuary headland and calmer for young children. Rock village and its restaurants are a short drive across the estuary. The South West Coast Path reaches Pentire Point and The Rumps within 2 miles north.

Best for: groups or families wanting individual en-suites and a central Polzeath location close to surf. Less good for: dog owners, or those wanting outdoor cooking space or a garden to sit out in.
