Sea Glimpses

Sea Glimpses is a 2-bedroom cottage on New Road in Port Isaac, sleeping 3 with 1 bathroom. It's a compact property in one of Cornwall's most recognisable fishing villages - the kind of place where the streets are too narrow for cars and the harbour is at the bottom of a steep hill.

Inside: wifi and washing machine included, no on-site parking. The cottage is on the upper part of the village, which means the walk to the harbour is mostly downhill. Two bedrooms sleep three - practical for a couple with a child or two friends.

Port Gaverne beach is 500 metres - a sheltered cove east of the headland that avoids the summer foot traffic of Port Isaac itself. Port Isaac village has The Angry Anchovy pizzeria and The Slipway Hotel on the harbour, plus a fish shop selling fresh-off-the-boat catch. The South West Coast Path runs north from here along high cliffs towards Pentire Point, 4.2 miles to Polzeath.

Best for couples or small groups who want an atmospheric North Cornish village base and are happy to use public parking. Less suited to those needing car access close to the door - the narrow streets make daily driving impractical.
