The Folly

The Folly is a detached 2-bedroom cottage on New Road in Port Isaac, sleeping 3 with 1 bathroom. Private parking is included - a practical advantage in a village where summer parking along the narrow lanes is notoriously difficult. The enclosed garden provides outdoor space away from the busy harbour area below.

Inside, two bedrooms accommodate up to 3 guests, with wifi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. The layout is suited to a couple with one child or two adults travelling together who want separate sleeping rooms.

Port Gaverne Beach - a sheltered cove with calm water for swimming and snorkelling - is around 500 metres away on foot. The village centre is a short downhill walk from the cottage, putting the harbour, Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred restaurant, and the Platt - where the Fisherman's Friends perform their sea shanties - within easy reach. The South West Coast Path runs east toward Tregardock Beach (5.3 miles) and west toward Port Quin, with clifftop views across the North Cornwall coast.

**Best for:** Couples and small families who want to walk to the beach and village without needing the car; fans of the Doc Martin filming locations; coast path walkers using Port Isaac as a base.

**Less good for:** Groups of 4 or more; anyone needing a hot tub or beachside access for dogs (dogs not accepted here).
