Trewetha Farm sits above Port Isaac on slightly higher ground - quieter than the village itself and with more space around it. Port Isaac harbour and the Platt are accessible on foot in around 10-15 minutes down the hill. Port Gaverne beach is 700 metres - a small, sheltered cove with calm water, a seasonal cafe, and less foot traffic than the more publicised beaches further along the coast. Tregardock, a more isolated beach accessible only on foot via the coast path, is 5.3km. Polzeath is 7.2km by road.

As a barn conversion, the property has more character than the average modern holiday cottage - exposed stonework, lower ceilings, and the feel of a converted agricultural building rather than a purpose-built rental. The garden gives dogs somewhere to run, which is practical for longer stays. The farm setting makes this quieter at night than properties in the village centre.

Port Isaac has a harbour, pubs, the Outlaw's on the Platt seafood restaurant, and the Doc Martin filming locations that draw significant visitor numbers in summer.
