Sea Mist

Sea Mist is a first-floor apartment in the Barepta Cove block on Headland Road, on the site of the old Tregorran Hotel in Carbis Bay. The open-plan living space has a corner sofa, a glass-topped dining table with four chairs and glass French doors onto a sea-facing balcony, where a bistro table and two chairs are provided. Views run across the bay to St Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse, and the master bedroom shares them through French doors to a Juliet balcony.

It sleeps four. The king bedroom has an en-suite with a shower over the bath, and the second bedroom is set as a twin, which can be made up as a super-king if you request it at least seven days before arrival. There is also a family shower room. Underfloor heating runs throughout, the kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is a Sky package with Netflix, sport and movies, a PS4 and board games. A travel cot and highchair are available.

Pets are not allowed under the lease, and barbecues are not permitted either. Smoking and vaping are not allowed. E-bikes and scooters cannot be stored or charged on the premises. Parking is private, for one car. The apartment is reached from the car park by a lift or a small set of stairs, and the lift should not be relied on alone, because when it is out of service the stairs are the only way up.

Sea Mist suits a couple or a family of four who want a sea-facing base and a shore-side stroll; it is less good for anyone with pets, as none are allowed. The beach is 0.4 miles away and the communal garden leads to the South West Coast Path, with St Ives about a 25-minute walk. The shop is 0.5 miles away and the pub 1.3 miles.
