Silvershell

Silvershell is a detached two-bedroom bungalow at the top of Port Isaac, sleeping 4 in a king-size bed and a twin room. The bungalow sits above the village with views down across the rooftops towards the harbour, off-road parking for 2 cars, and a large enclosed rear garden. Dogs are welcome - up to 2 small dogs or 1 medium-to-large dog.

Inside, the single-level layout means no stairs throughout - practical for guests with mobility concerns or dogs. There is an open fire, Wi-Fi, and a kitchen equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. One bathroom serves both bedrooms. Weekly rates start from £747, with Saturday changeover.

Port Gaverne Beach is around 300 metres around the headland - a sheltered cove good for swimming, kayaking, and rock pooling at low tide. Polzeath Beach is around 4.1 miles south by road, and Tregardock - an isolated beach accessible only on foot - sits about 3.4 miles north along the coast. The coast path runs directly from the top of the village in both directions.

Port Isaac's harbour, Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred restaurant, and the narrow streets that doubled as Portwenn in ITV's Doc Martin are all a short walk downhill. Wadebridge is roughly 10 miles inland; Tintagel is under 30 minutes north by car.

**Best for:** Couples or small families wanting harbour views, dog-friendly space, and step-free living within walking distance of Port Isaac's village and a sheltered cove.

**Less good for:** Groups of more than 4, or guests hoping to be right on the beach - the walk to Port Gaverne involves a short headland path.
