Open-plan living is arranged around an open fire, giving the cottage a practical focal point through the cooler months. An external heated swimming pool and games room are shared between the two farm cottages - the pool is the main draw for guests staying at a property this far inland. Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included.

Kingscoombe Farm occupies farmland between Callington and Launceston in the Tamar Valley. The location is rural east Cornwall - more working countryside than tourist infrastructure, which suits guests who want quiet rather than proximity to the coast. The nearest beach at Downderry is 14 miles via road. Callington, roughly 4.3 miles south, is the nearest town with shops and a market. Launceston, 6.2 miles north, has a Norman castle and a wider range of services including supermarkets.

Day trips from Bray Shop take in the Tamar Valley railway line, which runs from Plymouth to Gunnislake through steep wooded gorges. Dartmoor's southern edge is accessible in around 30 minutes. The coast at Looe and Downderry is a reasonable drive rather than a walk.

This property is a good fit for a couple or small family who want a quiet countryside retreat with guaranteed swimming whatever the weather. Shared pool access and the games room give children indoor activity options. It is less good for guests whose priority is coastal walking or easy beach access. Changeover is Saturday.
