St Mellyn

St Mellyn is a five-bedroom cottage for eight guests in Portmellon, a cove hamlet just south of Mevagissey on Cornwall's south coast. Three king-size bedrooms and two singles sleep the group across four bathrooms, and the layout is across two floors, with all five bedrooms on the first floor and a study on the ground floor.

Indoors, a wood burner anchors the sitting room for cooler evenings. The kitchen/diner has a breakfast bar, a dining table for eight and a coffee machine, and the family bathroom has a claw-foot bath. Outside, a west-facing terrace holds a barbecue and outdoor furniture, catching the evening sun over the garden. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are all included, and up to two dogs are welcome.

Portmellon's sandy cove, a cafe and a pub are all less than half a mile from the door, in a quiet, secluded spot away from Mevagissey's busier harbour front. Gorran Haven Beach is 1.6 miles away, Pentewan Beach 1.9 miles and Hemmick Beach 2.6 miles, giving three sandy alternatives within a short drive. Mevagissey's working harbour, narrow lanes and seafood restaurants are close by for a day out.
