The property has private parking - a significant practical advantage in Port Isaac, where the village is largely pedestrianised and visitor parking is constrained to a single pay-and-display car park at the top of the hill. Port Isaac is one of the most compact and recognisable fishing villages on the north Cornwall coast. The harbour sits at the bottom of a steep valley, with narrow lanes - some less than a metre wide - connecting the stone cottages above. The Platt, a small square at the harbour edge, is where the village's public life centres in summer. The seafood restaurant Outlaw's on the Platt, run by Nathan Outlaw, is one of the more cited dining options in the area. The village is the location used for the TV series Doc Martin.

Port Gaverne beach is 600 metres east along the coast - a small, sheltered cove with calmer water than the more exposed north coast beaches. Tregardock Beach, an isolated strand accessible only on foot from the coast path, is 5.5km. Polzeath is 6.5km by road.
