Port Gaverne Beach is 700 metres along the lane - a sheltered north-facing cove with calm water, traditionally used by fishing boats and well suited to swimming and snorkelling. The pebble and sand beach has a small car park and seasonal cafe. Port Isaac village itself is a few minutes further, with the working harbour, fish and chip shops, and Outlaw's Fish Kitchen on the quayside.

Tregardock Beach, one of North Cornwall's less visited coves, is 5.3km along the coast path - accessible on foot at low tide with dramatic cliff scenery. Polzeath, a longer surf beach at the mouth of the Camel Estuary, is 7.3km and popular with families and beginners learning to surf.

Ideal for families or two couples who want direct access to a sheltered swimming cove and Port Isaac village without being in the thick of the summer crowds.
